Bath

I couldn’t bare to leave Cassie at home again, especially on such a gorgeous day. I did my best to not let her run around to much and she seems fine health wise, and otherwise, very very happy!

A very nice walk overall, loving the weather, but poor Grom has cut one of the pads on his paw! Once we got home we cleaned it up and had a look and it doesn’t look bad at all. He’ll be fine in a couple of days! We also gave them all a bath/wash in the back yard as they were filthy. This involved throwing warm buckets of soapy water over them and rubbing them down, but after going in the house once or twice to refill the bucket, Gromit kept running away from me
Loves swimming, but hates baths!
Benji was well behaved though, can’t say the same about Cassie, who covered the back door in mud trying to get back in the house. She isn’t a silly as she looks, and can easily open the front and back door if not locked, so that’s what i had to resort to. Locking the door every time i came in the house, and locking it every time i came back out , to stop her running in, soaking wet.
Unfortunately for us, the first time we really realised how “talented” she was at this, was when she was 2/3 years old and she decided to go for a walk at 2am when we forgot to lock the front door (we didn’t even have a gate at the time so who knows how far she wondered!). Don’t worry though, she came back in the house when it was “exciting” enough for her, after the police turned up because my next door neighbour had called them thinking we may have been murdered, but maybe that’s a story for another time!

Hi Chelsea
Glad Cassie got to go the walk, she must be really fed up staying at home when Benji and Gromit get to have all the fun!
Your bathing of them left us feeling exhausted!! Been there, done that! Isn’t it funny how water in another setting is so much more attractive to dogs! xx
