Pawz For Thought – Foster Appeal

We are appealing for people who would like the opportunity to foster dogs on a temporary basis to contact us. We are looking for people who can take a dog, love a dog, then when the right home comes along give the dog up. not because they dont” love the dog” but because they “love it enough” to let it go and then turn thier attention to the next needy dog. Foster carers are special yes it can hurt even though the dogs are moving on to the best homes we can find for them a fosterer would not be doing the job right if it didnt hurt. We promise it would not be long before another dog fills the space. If you feel you want to know more or want to talk it over with us please contact us at www.pawzforthought.org or email lebdale@aol.com We need you!

Timmy has been re-homed

Timmy went to his wonderful new home a couple of days ago.

Hopefully he’ll settle in well.

We should be getting another special foster doggy in tomorrow, so i’ll try and update at the weekend!

Tim day #2

Tim slept in the crate all through the night without a peep. He actually really likes the crate, which is unusual! But he just keeps wondering in whenever he gets tired. We normally don’t leave them alone for more than 10 minutes or so (apart from at night time) for at least the first few days but today there was a few things going on so we had to leave him for about 2 hours, and he was fine. For a young dog he’s really well behaved and it’s rare we get a dog in without some separation anxeity after being moved from house to house etc so i’m quite impressed. His only ‘naughty’ thing is barking when he wants something, but he’s getting better with that. He seems to be a lovely dog so far.

He’s fine on walks and doesn’t pull to bad (apart from when other dog/people walk past) He has tonnes of energy so will need an active home. He would also really benefit from some basic training as he is only young and he would get a lot out of it .
Although he’s way way smaller than them, i’m beginning to think he could be a Rhodesian Ridgeback cross. His colouring and structure bares some similarities to them… He is gorgeous :)
